The Crossing Condominium Association
We are a diverse community boasting of residents of different cultures, ethnic backgrounds, ages (babies to retired people) and lifestyles. Many of us have lived and worked in Wisconsin, but we also come from many other states and countries: California, Florida, Colorado, Indiana, Illinois, Arizona, India, and France. And we hope to add many more places.
We are a warm, people and pet friendly community, one which is trying to be a green community, as well. We have an active social life of community dinners, game and movie nights, a book club, coffee klatches, evening educational programs, exercise sessions in our club house and water aerobics in the swimming pool. Our Clubhouse has office space, WiFi, a fitness center, a community lounge with a well equipped kitchen, billiard and card tables, wide screen television, comfortable seating area surrounding a fireplace, and numerous tables and chairs for meetings and other get togethers. The clubhouse’s high windows look out on views of a pine grove, a heated swimming pool with umbrella covered tables and comfortable lounge chairs, tall grass edged ponds, a wooded park, and even a covered bridge!
We are surrounded on two sides by McGaw Park, a heavily wooded and fully equipped public park with tennis and volleyball courts, picnic areas, ball fields, and even a nature trail. The hiking and biking path around The Crossing is directly connected to the Capital City Biking (and walking) Trail and other state biking trails. We are blocks away from the Fitchburg city center, public library, a coffee house, restaurants, and a short drive from churches, fitness centers, banks, a pharmacy, bakery, post office and grocery super market. We are located a short distance South of the Beltline. See a map and get directions from the
Map and Directions link.
With the many wooded areas surrounding the community, farm fields to the north and south, our tall grass and prairie plant edged ponds, and French country chateau design homes, The Crossing is a place of beauty and peaceful comfort. And the residents are wonderful!
